Gore Mutual conducts social media campaign

Gore Mutual Insurance of Cambridge, ON recently conducted a social media campaign that encouraged consumers nationally to nominate charities to receive donations. Six charitable organizations will receive donations of $5,000 from the insurance company. An additional 10 charities will receive $1,000 donations.

Winning charities include the McMaster Children's Hospital Foundation, the Children's Aid Foundation of Canada, the Canadian Mental Health Association of Waterloo Wellington, Lisaard House, the Alzheimer's Society of BC and the Mental Illness Family Support Centre Society.

"We were amazed by the magnitude of response and coordinated efforts from the public to have their charity recognized for their community work," said Heidi Sevcik, president and CEO of Gore Mutual. "In response, we quickly expanded our giving from six charities to sixteen. This campaign is important to our company as we continue to think holistically about our work and the positive impact we can make in our communities."
