Report: Top ten ads on YouTube Canada form 2017
YouTube Canada has released a list of the top advertisements that ran on the video streaming site in 2017. According to the company, the rankings were determined by an algorithm incorporating number of views, watch time and number of shared videos.
The most popular ad was "The Canadian Dream," developed for Chevrolet Canada by McCann. This was followed by "SickKids Vs. MomStrong" from the SickKids Foundation, developed by Cossette, and "Most Canadian Airline Ever" from WestJet, developed by Sid Lee. Completing the top five were Nintendo's "Nintendo Switch" campaign from Leo Burnett and Budweiser's "Born the Hard Way" campaign from Anomaly.
Other ads in the top ten include "Worlds Apart" from Heineken by Publicis, "Hero's Journey" from Kia Motors by Innocean, "Bringing Canadian Families Together" by Catelli Pasta from Environics, and "The Rock and Siri Dominate the Day" by Apple from TBWA.
