Swiss Chalet begins mobile campaign

Toronto-based restaurant chain Swiss Chalet has released an updated version of its mobile application. The new software is intended to make it easier for consumers to place an order for pick-up or delivery.

The company has also undertaken a series of advertising initiatives in association with mobile applications Waze, The Weather Network and TeamSnap. The Waze promotion will allow users of the navigation app to place an order with Swiss Chalet before beginning a commute or road trip. According to the company, it is the first Canadian brand to make use of this function in Waze.

"The partnership with Waze is driven by our commitment to provide convenience to our guests to either order Swiss Chalet with a click of a button or easily find one of our locations to visit in person," said Lindsay Robinson, director of marketing at Swiss Chalet.

Swiss Chalet will also make use of weather data to provide customized advertising to users of The Weather Network app. A system to provide direct ordering from within the app will be added later this year.
