Escapism Toronto debuts

UK-based travel magazine Escapism has launched a Canadian edition. This is the first international expansion of the brand. Published by Square Up Media, Escapism Toronto will be released quarterly and distributed free at high-traffic downtown locations. An initial circulation of 50,000 copies are being distributed by promotional workers at subway stations and intersections to support the launch. Fuse Experiential Marketing is handling distribution as well as staffing. Sponsors of the first issue include WestJet, Tourism Thailand, G Adventures, Beam Suntory and Club Med.

"I'm incredibly proud of the product my team has produced," said publisher Krista Faist. "We've put together an exceptional first issue and hope it serves as a great source of travel inspiration for Torontonians. We always said that Foodism was only the beginning for us and we look forward to continuing to produce first-class content for the city."
