Bike to Work BC Society rebrands

The Vancouver-based Bike to Work BC Society has undertaken a rebranding initiative. The not-for-profit organization has changed its name to GoByBikeBC. According to the group, the new name better reflects an increasing interest in cycling for everyday transportation. The rebranding also includes a new logo and the tagline, "Bike it. You'll love it." The organization conducts in "Bike to Work and School Week" events in approximately 50 communities in British Columbia. The branding was developed by Toolbox Design of Vancouver.

"The idea was to empower Bike to Work BC Society to extend their influence way beyond their signature 'Bike to Work' and 'Bike to School' events," said James Ducommun, president of Toolbox Design. "The new name, GoByBikeBC, works to explain the wider scope. To empower this extended reach, we strove to create a brand that was both clear and full of new energy, kind of like the simple joy of riding everywhere. Judging by the adoption by the local chapters of 'Bike to School and Work Weeks,' which has been huge, it succeeded."
