Spirit of York begins awareness campaign
Toronto-based Spirit of York Distillery has begun a national advertising campaign intended to raise awareness of its line of gin and vodka products. The initiative will make use of transit shelter, billboard, print and online advertising. The creative features an image of the brand's bottle and lines of copy incorporating the word "spirit." According to the company, it is intended to reflect the heritage of Toronto's Distillery District.
"Housed right in the heart of the historic Distillery District, Spirit of York authentically craft-distills its spirits in small batches, the way they did 180 years ago right in this area," said Brian Harrod, creative director of the campaign. "In our copy we wanted people to know it was with this care, and with this time-honoured tradition, that we capture the spirit of the region in our vodka and gin."
