Aeroplan, InterContinental renew agreement

Loyalty program Aeroplan has renewed its agreement with the InterContinental Hotels Group. Under the terms of the agreement, participants in the program will continue to receive loyalty points when they stay at InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Hotel Indigo, Even, Holiday Inn, Kimpton Hotels, Hualuxe Hotels, Staybridge Suites and Candlewood Suites locations. In addition, participants in the hotel company's IHG Rewards Club loyalty program will have the option to convert those points to Aeroplan points. Aeroplan is operated by Aimia of Montreal.

"We're delighted to not only continue, but also expand our partnership with IHG," said Jennifer Jones, vice-president of travel, retail and strategic development at Aeroplan. "Members will now have more choice and opportunity to earn miles at top hotels around the world. Last year, thousands of Aeroplan members stayed at IHG hotels around the globe. IHG's brands are a popular choice with both business and leisure travelers, offering a wide range of accommodation options and superior service."
