Netlift conducts olfactory promotion

Montreal-based transportation company Netlift has begun an experiential promotion developed by Élixir Marketing Olfactif. The initiative is intended to provide consumers with a "unique olfactory experience" when they travel in a Netlift vehicle. Participating vehicles have been outfitted with devices that emit aromas intended to create a "serene atmosphere" to counter the stresses of traffic. The odors, which emerge in scripted stages, include bergamot, lemon, tea, jasmine, rose and cedar. The promotion also includes the release of a branded perfume called Netlift, as well as the distribution of branded air fresheners that Netlift drivers can use in their cars.

"We are delighted to be the first mobility company to offer an exceptional and completely standardized experience in more than 100 taxis," said Eric Noël, vice-president of marketing at Netlift. "Our goal, which is to reduce the solo use of automobiles, is based on a tangible benefit for our passengers: to have peace of mind thanks to a planned transport. So, all the facets of the Netlift experience, including olfactory immersion, contribute to the well-being of our users, which we want to both satisfy and retain."
