Marriott hires 1Milk2Sugars
Hotel company Marriott International has retained 1Milk2Sugars Communications of Montreal as its Canadian social media agency of record. This is the first time Marriott has employed a Canadian social media firm. The agency won the account in a competitive process involving seven contenders. The assignment comprises social media work for Marriott properties including The Ritz Carlton, W Hotels, Sheraton Hotels, Delta Hotels, St-Regis Hotel and Resorts and others. It consists of content creation, community management, analytics, reporting and influencer relations.
"1Milk2Sugars launched in 2012 as a PR shop," said agency CEO Priya Chopra. "In the last few years, we decided it was time to fly under a broader banner. We started to invest in developing our content marketing and social media management services and these investments are providing a solid return. Winning the bid for the Marriott Hotels is proof that we are a contender not only for our solid PR practice, but also for stand-alone social media mandates."
