Finning Canada conducts Caterpillar Operator Challenge
Edmonton-based heavy equipment dealer Finning Canada has begun a competition promotion in support of its Caterpillar brand. The company will host a series of four events in June in Saskatoon, Kamloops, Surrey and Edmonton. At each event, participating equipment operators will compete in four challenges intended to test their skill with a micro excavator, compact track loader, mini excavator and wheel loader. Competitors will be judged on speed, accuracy and operating practices. Three winners from the four events will receive a trip to compete in a regional competition in Clayton, NC in October. Winners from this event will compete in the Global Cat Operator Challenge in 2020 in Las Vegas. This is the first year Canadian operators will be able to participate in the initiative.
“Finning is excited about taking part in this global competition that will challenge our Canadian operators to find out if they have what it takes to take on the best in the world and bring home the title of world's best operator,” said Darren Riley, vice-president of corporate accounts at Finning Canada. “We are looking forward to seeing how our Canadian operators stack up.”
