Loto-Quebec begins 50th anniversary promotion
Loto-Québec has begun a promotion to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the organization. As part of the promotion, the organization will conduct a drawing of its first lottery game, Loterie mensuelle. Tickets are on sale for two dollars, the same price as in 1970, and the draw will take place on March 14, exactly 50 years after Loto-Québec's first draw. Five winners will receive prizes of $125,000. The lottery organization has also launched a promotional website at <https://50ans.lotoquebec.com> that presents a timeline of its 50-year history.
“Loto-Québec has made a lot of headway since 1970 and has never stopped evolving and growing,” said Lynne Roiter, president and CEO of Loto-Québec. “Turning 50 is the perfect opportunity to celebrate our very first lottery, which was a resounding success at the time and the game that helped us crown our first winners.”
