Sportsnet has begun a new promotion called “Sportsnet Fantasy Hockey.” The initiative consists of three contests tied to the upcoming National Hockey League Stanley Cup qualifiers and playoffs. The first of these, called the Sportsnet Fantasy Hockey Pool: Playoffs Edition, invites consumers to create a fictional NHL team that will compete in the playoffs. This promotion is sponsored by Ram. The grand prize winner will receive their choice of a 2020 Ram 4x4 Crew Cab truck, a Ram 1500 Sport or a Ram 2500 Night Edition. The contest is being conducted at <http://www.sportsnet.ca/ram>.
The second contest, called the Sportsnet Fantasy Hockey Playoffs Bracket, is being presented by Canadian Tire. Participants will compete to predict the outcomes of NHL games from the qualifiers to the Stanley Cup finals. Winners will receive cash and prizes totaling $50,000. This contest is being hosted at <http://www.sportsnet.ca/ctbracket>.
The final contest, called Predict the Playoffs, will be conducted through the channel’s mobile application beginning on Aug. 4. Consumers watching hockey games on television will be invited to use the app to predict upcoming events to win prizes. The contest includes daily prizes of $1,000 and a grand prize of $50,000.
