Rogers Media launches BzzAgent Canada
Toronto-based Rogers Media has signed a licensing agreement with BzzAgent of Boston. Under the terms of the deal, Rogers gains the exclusive right to sell access to BzzAgent's services in Canada. BzzAgent specializes in word-of-mouth marketing campaigns in which unpaid consumers volunteer to discuss products and services with members of their social circles. According to the company, it has approximately 36,000 of these volunteers in Canada. Rogers will develop consumer campaigns using this service under the name BzzAgent Canada. "Working with BzzAgent reflects our focus on being Canada's innovative one-stop marketing partner," said Brian Segal, publishing president and CEO at Rogers Media. "We can now provide clients with exclusive access to the leading provider of word-of-mouth marketing and media services for the world's most esteemed brands."
