Mercedes-Benz Canada begins Sex and the City campaign
Mercedes-Benz Canada has begun a marketing campaign tied to the upcoming Alliance Films release "Sex and the City." The movie features product placement of a number of Mercedes vehicles. The Canadian advertising campaign will consist of newspaper and cinema ads, an online contest and in-dealership materials. Consumers can enter the contest at <http://www.alliancefilms.com/sexandthecity>. The winner will receive a trip for two to New York and tickets to the film's premiere. The company will also be a presenting sponsor of the Toronto premiere of the film on May 28 and of release events in five additional Canadian cities. The purpose of the campaign is to gather sales leads for the Mercedes GLK, a compact sport utility vehicle.
