Newspaper publisher Metro Canada, in association with City Media, has launched a new online shopping website at <>. The site is intended to give consumers an easy way to locate special offers that run in the newspaper, as well as to give print advertisers additional exposure. "Now, an ad that appears in the Toronto print edition of Metro can be made searchable online in the new shopping section on  and on all major search engines," said Tracy Day, retail sales director at Metro. The service will expand to the other cities in which Metro publishes within several months.
