CTV breaks launch campaign for E!
The CTV Creative Agency has developed a marketing campaign for the Canadian launch of specialty channel E!, which will debut on Nov. 29. The campaign consists of television, radio and outdoor advertising, including what the company describes as "an unprecedented amount of exposure" on various CTV channels, including CTV, A, Animal Planet, Bravo, BookTelevision, BNN, The Comedy Network, Comedy Gold, CP24, CTV News Channel, Discovery Channel, Discovery Science, Discovery World HD, ESPN Classic, FashionTelevision, Investigation Discovery, MTV, MTV2, MuchMusic, MuchLoud, MuchMoreMusic, MuchMoreRetro, MuchVIBE, NHL Network, PunchMuch, SPACE, TSN and TSN2. The 30-second television commercials direct viewers to where they can find the channel in their area. Other ads focus on specific shows that will air on the channel. The outdoor campaign, consists of billboards in Toronto, while the radio campaign makes use of multiple 30-second ads airing on CHUM stations in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Ottawa and Calgary. "The marketing of E!'s return to Canada is a comprehensive campaign that utilizes as many CTV assets as possible in order to reach the widest national audience," said Rick Lewchuk, senior vice-president of the CTV Creative Agency. "Spotlighting E!'s top-rated series, the diverse campaign gives viewers a taste of what's to come on Nov. 29."
