AOL Canada begins out-of-home campaign in Toronto

AOL Canada has begun a new consumer campaign to promote a number of its online properties, including,, and The out-of-home campaign makes use of transit shelter, subway station and billboard advertising in the downtown area of Toronto. The creative makes use of images drawn from a pool of 175 "AOL Canvases," which are original pieces of art commissioned by the company as part of an initiative called AOL Artists. This campaign is the first phase of what the company describes as a "significant investment" over the next year in consumer advertising intended to promote AOL as a producer of original online content, and to attract a larger audience.
