ICA selects board of directors

The Toronto-based Institute of Communication Agencies has appointed Penny Stevens, president of Media Experts, to the position of chair of its 2016 board of directors. The vice-chair will be Paul Reilly, executive managing director of BBDO.

Additional members of the board include Duncan Bruce of Publicis, Andy Krupski of The Hive, Arthur Fleischmann of John St., David Leonard of McCann, Greg Power of Weber Shandwick, Jennifer Steinmann of Cundari, Jill King of Sandbox Advertising, Jim Kabrajee of Marshall Fenn, Melanie Johnston of DDB Canada, Rob Woyzbun of Vector Media, Stephanie Nerlich of Grey Canada, and Tim Bowen of Rivet, as well as Gillian Graham and Jani Yates of the ICA.

David Gibb, managing director of J. Walter Thompson, has been appointed chair of the organization's new board of governors. Members of this board will include Alvin Wasserman of Wasserman & Partners, Andrew Kirby of Sapient Nitro, Aviva Groll of Ogilvy, Brett Channer of Mass Minority, Bob Froese of Bob's Your Uncle, Cathy Collier of OMD Canada, Dave Carey of Cummins & Partners, Dave Wilkin of Ten Thousand Coffees, Jill Nykoliation of Juniper Park, John York of Rain 43, Ken Christoffel of Brown Communications, Kevin Johnson of MediaCom, Lori Billey of Red The Agency, Matt Shoom-Kirsch of Taxi, Paul Hickey of BrandHealth Communications,  Peter Kwan of Innocean, Rico DiGiovanni of Spider Marketing and Stephen Kiely of DentsuBos.
