Defence industry association breaks awareness campaign

The Ottawa-based Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries has begun a marketing campaign called "My North My Home." The initiative is intended to raise awareness of Canadian defence and security companies by focusing on their employees. The campaign consists of an online video, a website at <>, digital advertising, social media activities and a presence at the CANSEC defence trade show this week. The campaign will run through June.

"We are thrilled to launch a campaign that shines a light on some of the 60,000 dedicated people in Canada's defence and security industry," said Christyn Cianfarani, president and CEO of the association. "These are real people who are incredibly passionate about what they do every day, working on innovations that make our country a safer place."
