Subway begins Beyond Meatball Sub campaign
Sandwich chain Subway Canada has begun an advertising campaign promoting a new menu item called the Beyond Meatball Sub. The sandwich makes use of a plant-based meat substitute in its meatballs. The campaign includes a television commercial featuring lifestyle personality Martha Stewart offering fictionalized advice about growing meatballs on trees. The campaign was developed by M&P with additional creative from DentsuBos. Public relations and social media activities are being conducted by Veritas Communications. Media buying is being conducted by Carat.
“Martha is the perfect partner to announce the nationwide launch of the Beyond Meatball Marinara Sub in Canada,” said Cristina Wells, senior marketing director at Subway Canada. “ Martha’s green thumb and culinary prowess made her a natural fit to speak to the unbelievable cultivation and care that goes into creating the Beyond Meatball.”
