Torque Esports to buy Frankly, WinView
Toronto-based competitive video game company Torque Esports has formed an agreement to acquire Frankly, a New York-based company specializing in online video content management, and WinView, a mobile games developer based in Redwood City, CA. The combined company will be called Engine Media Holdings and will develop products and services related to live game competitions, news and related video game content. The company will be headed by Torque CEO Darren Cox and Frankly CEO Lou Schwartz. Tom Rogers of WinView will be executive chairman.
