Tourism Prince George conducts Hello Staycations contest
Tourism Prince George of Prince George, BC is conducting a contest promotion called “Hello Staycations” that encourages consumers to explore their local area. The promotion is in response to the COVID-10 pandemic, which has curtailed long-distance travel. The campaign also emphasizes the benefits of a staycation to local businesses. The contest invites consumers to submit descriptions of their past experiences with a staycation for a chance to win their next one. The contest will select one winner per month for six months to receive a specific staycation package. These include guided snowshoe tours and hikes, visits to local wineries and stays at local resorts. Consumers can enter at <http://www.tourismpg.com/staycations>. The contest will close on Dec. 15.
“Local residents are ambassadors for Prince George as a destination,” said Tracey McBride, chief executive officer at Tourism Prince George. “It has been great fun asking them share with us their favourite local spots and haunts. This is a great time to get out and discover what’s close by.”
